Katie Stewart has grown up as a natural leader with a genuine love for people, especially children. Katie’s passion for children and the underprivileged community collided when she and her dad visited Jamaica for the first time on a week long mission trip. When she experienced the joy of giving and physically living out her Christian faith, her life was drastically changed. That’s when Katie began spending her summers on the mission field as an intern with IsleGo Missions. After a few years, Katie began leading teams as IsleGo’s youngest facilitator and continued to grow in her faith and love for serving abroad.
Katie co-founded the ARK Angel Network in 2008 as a platform to provide resources for many children as possible. Katie became the Director of Outreach in 2013 and has been an advocate for Bright Beginners Kindergarten in Steertown, Jamaica. Katie continues to develop relationships between donors and their partners in ministry.
In 2011, Katie graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education. Her professional career has included teaching, curriculum writing, childcare management and most recently, preschool director. Katie currently lives in New Jersey with her husband, two dogs and a daughter on the way. She continues to work as a facilitator for IsleGo missions and leads the ARK Angel Network’s annual mission trip to Jamaica each year.
