ARKANGEL Network, Jamaica Build and Celebration: July, 2009

We spent days out with our Jamaican family building a house, an outhouse , help rehabilitate the Bright Beginners Elementary School and holding a celebration for the ArkAngel Network Advisiory Board. Look at the gallery of pictures here.

Our friend JC Boyd is playing and we may have one more band. We have two local pubs selling ARK Angel Network donor cards throughout the week, and we’ll request donations that night while the bands are playing. Current donations are focused on our annual Mission Trip to JA….a percentage is being donated to Special Olympics of Kalamazoo. We will use additional proceeds to help our other charities and build our program.

ISLE GO MISSION: June 21-28 2009

We will be building a small house for a family in need, meeting amazing people and finding fulfillment in our lives all on the beautiful island nation of Jamaica!
-$785 covers all of your living needs (food prepared by wonderful Jamaican women and a bed to sleep in at Saint Ann’s Bay right on the ocean)
-Flights are typically around $700 (the earlier you look the cheaper they’ll be)
-$2000 for ALL supplies to build the house (this will be divided by everybody). Our team of 15 individuals will make great lifetime memories…no experience necessary! (But some carpentry skills would be very helpful).

Support the Cause: Help At Risk Kids! Price is $55.00 per person for a four person scramble (18 holes with cart). Food and drinks will be available on the course; dinner, 50/50 raffle and prizes will follow. Register now! Make checks payable to ARK Angel Network. A portion of all proceeds will benefit Special Olympics of Kalamazoo.

BUD's BAR FUNDRAISER:

Much Thanks to all of our volunteers and everyone who came out to support the first ArkAngelNetwork benefit. We raised $2,000 for our trip and will donate $250.00 to the Special Olympics of Kalamazoo on behalf of Bud's Bar. Thank you to Lauri and Jamie and the rest of the great servers at Bud's for hosting the event. Extra thanks to JC Boyd, Son Drop and Who Hit John? for donating your time and amazing talent. Steve "KOZ" and Pam Koslolowski drove 3 hours to join us and donated loads of great prizes from Koz's Fun Fish. Extra big thanks to you !!!
